So, today I got some cooking done. I made Spoon Bread (p.59) for breakfast. It was yummy, although I'm not quite sure what to think of the consistency. It reminded me very much of cream of wheat, which we rediscovered recently. The picture doesn't look too appealing, because I tried to shake it out of the pan and pretty much destroyed it. Maybe I should have believed the cookbook when it stated "so light and fluffy, you'll need a spoon to serve it".
For supper, I made Meat-stuffed Pita Pockets (p. 253), using homemade Pita Bread (p. 48). One pita bread puffed up perfectly, while the others apparently suffered from my lack of rolling out skills... :) They tasted great, though!
